Unimpressive. This was dark purple in the glass. On the nose I got dark fruit, oak, and slight vanilla. There was a bit of heat on the nose as well. This was medium to full bodied. The mouthfeel was...strange. Not sure how to describe it. Oily? Viscous? The tannins were very prevalent, along with some earthiness, spice, but virtually no fruit. That continued on the finish, which had nice length, but not much flavor. I probably wouldn't purchase this wine again, but I wouldn't turn a glass down at a party. Not bad.
