WINEMAKER'S NOTE
The grapes were hand-sorted and crushed to stainless steel fermentors.Pumpovers were done as gently as possible to avoid undesirable harsh tanninextraction. Pressed at dryness to 80% French and 20% American oak with acomposition of 35% new oak for both barrel types.

Vaca; Godward Vineyard in Calistoga. Mt. Vaca is the highest peak of the Vaca range, which forms the Eastern border of the NapaValley. Many of the Zinfandel vines are over a century old. The fruit concentration from these mountain vineyards and the century-old valley floor vineyards ensure our Old Vine Zinfandel has rich flavor extraction, a fruit-forwardpalate and wonderful layers of complexity from multiple soil types.Our 2007 vintage Old Vine Zinfandel is a medium-bodied wine of lush, well integrated tannins and crisp, bright acidity. The aroma/flavor profile includes: Kirsch, raspberry preserves, red licorice and dark plums with subtle notes oftobacco, dried hay and cedar. The blend is 86% Zinfandel, 9% Charbono and 5% Mourvedre.
