WINEMAKER'S NOTE
There is no shortage of strawberry, bing cherry, raspberry and mocha notes on the nose of this excellent example of a Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. This wine is well balanced with a good, acidic backbone exhibiting flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and mulberry on the palate. Excellent with duck, lamb and anything you would care to barbeque!

Mickawinestory - 5/11/2010 Rating: 77 color - ruby, med trams nose - shy berries pal - dry, acid is med, tannin is med body is med alc is med (12) finish is pungent .... obvioious a pinot yet there are less clues about ow or nw and where made. this seems a characteristic of its style not a winemaking flaw. Pair this higher alc and acidity wine with sometghing like game. petrusncoke - 2/13/2010 Rating: 86 Spicy, almost like cardamom comes through the black cherry and cola aromas on the nose. On the palate, flavors of raspberries and blackberries give the wine a certain lushness, but though the fruit on the wine is very appealing, the searing alcohol unbalances the wine, making for a less than enjoyable pinot. For my money the Parker Station pinot noir, a wine by the same producer, is a better buy than this good, but overly-alcoholic wine. rjrausch - 1/9/2010 Rating: 79 Tight nose, some red fruit and sour cherry. Not my favorite pinot noir. A little hot, alcohol isn't well integrated. A bitter sour cherry flavor with a quick finish.
