Taking its accustomed place at the head of the class as it has in so many past vintages, this latest rendition from Chateau Ste. Bright, pale yellow. Pungent aromas of lime, yellow peach and crushed rock, complicated by a tropical fruit nuance. Juicy, spicy and intense, with ripe acids framing the rather laid-back flavors of apricot, apricot, ginger and exotic herbs. Took on a more creamy texture as it opened in the glass but still comes across as more or less dry. Finishes with a persistent pineapple flavor and good dusty, tactile grip. Classy riesling.
