WINEMAKER'S NOTE
This wine is bottled without fining or filtering. There is additional risk in this, but we prefer not to stripe the wine of subtle flavors and aromas. The formation of deposits in the bottle will be noticeable after some cellaring time. This is no way affects quality. We strongly recommend decanting this wine at least an hour before drinking.

Gibson: Lujan, 65 years, 3140 ft above sea level, 7.5 acres, 2200 per acre, gravel, well-drained Vega: La Consulta, 12 years, 3460 ft above sea level, 15 acres, 1600 per acre, sandy, some volcanic ash, very well drained. Gonzalez Videla: Medrano, 85 years, 2200 ft above sea level, 2600 per acre, heavier soil, some clay, component, traditional furrow irrigation. Rich, with delicious raspberry and macerated currant fruit enlivened by a strong violet aroma and piercing mineral streak. Long, dark, juicy finish is very vivid and racy. Drink now through 2009. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. -Wine Spectator (hide)
