WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Aromas of blackberries, red plums, mineral and cherry cola dominate in the nose. Concentrated flavors of berries and cola accentuate the ripe, rich tannins in the mouth. Concentrated fruit and toasty-oak vanilla flavors complement the long, lingering finish in your mouth. Always a favorite of mine, the 2006 has a sexier personality than some past vintages.

Wine & SpiritsRating: 92/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09. This is a lush and generous pinot noir grown on the bank above the Russian River on deep deposits of gravel, stone and silty clay. It's a forward and approachable wine in 2006, with tart red cherry fruit that's bright and saturated, the tea-like tannins checking it with a pleasantly bitter edge. For duck breast served over lentils with raspberry coulis.
