WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Cabernet Sauvignon is the classic production of Los Vascos, and is the grape that made the estate famous. The vintages all share a mature and fruity quality, fresh aromas, and a supple and fleshy structure. 2006 was a late vintage in Chile in spite of an extremely hot summer but it was followed by cool temperatures during the harvest which permitted a good staggering during the picking for optimum maturities without an explosion of alcoholic degrees. The colour is intense ruby with fine brilliance and orange nuances. The nose explodes with fruit : black cherry and blackcurrant (Cabernet), strawberry (Malbec), raspberry (Syrah), plum light mint and black pepper (Carmenère). The oak doesn’t overpower the fruit contributes delicious aromas of tobacco, cinnamon, and crème brûlée (vanilla, caramel and chocolate). The rich hand creamy taste is fresh and very intense, well structured and finishes with a fruit intensity of raspberries and cherries accompanied by a touch of liquorice and walnut skin. It is very dynamic and still very young. (hide)

A ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is full of fruit with aromas of strawberries, blackcurrants, cherries and is pleasantly spicy. The finish isvery typical of Chilean wine with hints of bay leaves and eucalyptus. It is fresh in the mouth, light, very fruity and balanced with good persistenttannins well blended into the wine. It is a tasty wine and very approachable.

Bright red. Cedary redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by tobacco and musky underbrush. Medium-bodied, lightly tannic red and dark berry flavors offer good sweetness and precision, with dusty tannins on the close. Reminds me of Bordeaux.
