Berry Bros & Rudd review: Zinfandel has a reputation for jammy alcoholic wines, on account of itspropensity to raisin. What caught my eye with this relatively modest pricedwine was its cool black fruit profile and sense of delicious harmony. Deep incolour, the clean-cut nose delights with blueberry and blackberry pie aromas,along with a cool Sonoma County espresso note. What's more, the palate isfinely balanced between fruit, structure and alcohol: the creamy briary fruitflavours clearly at the forefront while structure and alcohol play secondfiddle.
