WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Refined, rich luscious style with aromas of nectarines, peach and ripe cantaloupe. On the palate, the mouthwatering flavors of peaches and nectarines are completely filled out with a subtle mineral quality. This is a unique bottle of wine to be enjoyed now for its freshness and in the future as it develops in the bottle.

52% Sauvignon Blanc; 48% Semillon. This complex blending of ripe fig, honeyed melons, toasty oak and background grassy and stony notes is as outgoing in its round, slightly viscous flavors as it is in its first nose. A delight from front to back, and one of the most successful blends of these two varieties seen in California, Virtu is a wine that can as easily accompany a piece of grilled sea bass as a savory chicken dish.

  • California Grapevine
"Medium-light golden yellow; attractive, toasty, herbal, slightly grassy, white peach, nectarine, and grapefruit aroma with hints of fig and butterscotch; medium-full to full body; forward, moderately rich, texutred, citrus and white peach flavors with notes of coconut and toasty oak; lingering aftertaste. Shows some complexity. Highly recommended." -January 2008
