You will find this one simply loaded with precise, utterly delicious blackberry fruit, and it is so carefully crafted that its alcohol is not intrusive. It is certain to get better with a few years of age, but its immediate appeals are hard to resist.

Dark purple. Powerful dark berry and cherry preserves on the nose, with vanillin oak spice and cured tobacco gaining power with air. Fleshy and ripe, with sweet blackberry and boysenberry flavors. Soft tannins gain strength on the long, sweet finish. A lush, weighty and emphatically fruity style of zin that demands spicy or grilled foods, or strong cheeses.
