Dark violet. Complex nose of fruit cocktail, bananas, papaya, whipping cream, cassis, green peppers, pencil lead. Similar flavors with bitter finish -- cocoa nibs and coffee ground. Medium acids and tannins. This is a young wine that will benefit with 5 additional years of cellaring. Not yet well integrated. Note: 60% Zinfandel, 40% Carignane

Violet/purple coloring. This wine is an explosion of smells: hibiscus, cassis, banana, coconut. Similar flavors with medium-low tannins and acids. Pairs wells with cheeseburgers.
