Even accepting that this wine is intended to be a less demanding entry to the variety, it is still on the simple, surprisingly light side, and neither in nose nor in the mouth does it find concentration, varietal focus or attention-grabbing fruit. Decently balanced and low in tannin, it will serve as a quiet foil to steaks and chops over the next year or two.
