Pale straw-yellow with golden highlights. Butter and vanilla notes complement the aromas of banana, candied orange and pineapple, with a sexy jasmine accent providing lift. Very ripe chardonnay, hinting at some residual sweetness but with noteworthy intensity and underlying structure to the ripe banana and pineapple flavors. This smooth, shapely chardonnay shows terrific balance and more restraint than usual, with less tropical fruit character than past bottlings.
