In truth, the Pinot Noirs from Pali are made to such a consistent recipe that differences between one bottling and another are often found in the small details. This firmly built, medium-full-bodied wine strikes a very familiar stance in that, while seemingly extracted, it seems to hold back a trifle in its expression of fruit. It runs up against fairly abrupt finishing tannins and needs to be set for a few years.
