Nose is light and not remarkable. Taste bursts immediately with leather, toast, cherries, some spice, and just a hint of lemon acidity. Complex Sangiovese helped by the Merlot. Good food wine, better than on its own though enjoyable as such.

2012/2/08 Medium dark ruby red. Medium intensity on the nose with plum some oak and tobacco. Good tannin acid balance. Not a lot of fruit and has cab flavors with leather, tobacco and some cherries. Good Wednesday wine.

lasted 2 nights. excellent 1st night. v good 2nd
