29.09.12: Majestic Origin From the gravelly dunes of Léoville-Barton's vineyards, leading down to the bank of the Gironde, La Réserve is the second wine of this famous property. As an earlier drinking version of the grand vin, this is real value for money. Taste With a classic 'left bank' nose of smoky blackberry fruit and pencil lead, the palate is rich and rounded with assertive tannins, ample fruit and well integrated oak. Enjoy Serve with shoulder of lamb braised in wine. Drinking well at the moment, but will keep for another 5 or so years. Body
