  • Background
JAX Vineyards produce this distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon by dry-farming the estate's forty year old vines. At the foot of Mt. St. Helena, in Napa Valley, the vineyards bask in the ideal conditions of the northern Calistoga sun. Working together, the Jacksons (Jane, Dave, Kimberly and Trent) select the optimal grapes from their vineyard to produce their tenth vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • Robert Parker
“The elegant, deep ruby/purple-colored 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits red and black currant fruit notes intermixed with hints of oak, tobacco leaf, and spice. Well put together and not excessively tannic, it is ideal for drinking over the next 10-12 years. “
  • Description
Rich, sleek, and focused with an elegant blend of black currant, nutmeg, warm cherry and soft earth notes. Impressive for its depth and definition, this vintage seamlessly unfolds its fine-grained tannins and impressive structure into a long, lingering finish.
