It is not surprising that a sparkling wine producer would come up with a high acid, brisk white wine, but that formula is not a sure path to success in sunny California. So, kudos to Gloria Ferrer for giving the world a very well-made, bright, energetic Chardonnay that proves it can be done and done well. To be sure, this one is geared towards service with the lighter fishes or even to oysters, mussels and other crustaceans in tangy preparations. GOOD VALUE
