Mild temperatures continued throughout the fall allowing for a moderately paced harvest. The long growing season brought complex and intense flavor and aroma development. Comments from the Winemaker The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc has vibrant acidity balanced by toasted oak and a rich mouthfeel. The aroma is a combination of ripe melon, Meyer lemon, kiwi, and pineapple complemented by jasmine, honey, thyme, and a hint of spice. On the palate, the flavors are an intriguing mix of tropical and citrus notes with grapefruit, apricot, lemon grass, papaya, and pineapple that linger on the finish.
