2006 Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet

International Wine CellarGood pale color for the vintage. Superripe, complex nose offers apricot, honey, baked bread and spices. Concentrated and thick in the mouth, with a distinctly velvety texture, even in the context of the vintage. A real yellow peach and apricot fruit bomb, with uncanny sweetness. This grand cru site gets a lot of late afternoon sun and is almost always the highest in alcohol of my wines, notes Fontaine.

jqspybrilliant on its own and with Chinese food. all complete in nose and finish. a bit of sweet pears on palette leading to a very long and elegant ending. another strong testament to the 2006 burgundy whites.
