Green-tinged color. Brisk aromas of citrus peel and grapefruit. Rich, fat and full but not yet complex, with peach and grapefruit flavors firmed by a slightly metallic, peppery quality on the back. This is less fat than Morey's best premier crus from Chassagne-Montrachet and more austere on the back. I love it, but Morey says that he prefers wines with more phenolic ripeness and that he doesn't enjoy drinking peppery pinot noir or cabernet.
