Notes on the Davis Estate Zinfandel Russian River Valley 2006 : WINEMAKER NOTES: The age of the vines is not the best part. They have the wonderful brambly, old vine character but the very best part is the balance of this wine - perfect character - bright, juicy red raspberry mixed with a smoky plum and that great old vine spice, ripe but never over ripe. Lively and fresh a Zinfandel that delights and enhances the meal and is itself highlighted by the food. Full-bodied but not heavy, lush and simply delicious!
