WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Bright, dark and deep red. The dark colour sets the tone for the flavours that are as black as night: dark cherry pits, dark berries, a lasting smoky yet rich black-tar. Though tannic now, this wine should evolve. Theres already some complexity beginning to develop out of its firm, quiet supple core.

Color: Light, golden yellow. Bouquet: White peach, papaya, mango and hazelnut, with surprising elegance. Taste: Medium-bodied. Creamy on the palate, A core of peach-papaya accented flavors supported by refined oak. A long finish. Excellent with seafood, poultry, medium-sauced pastas, as well as most cheeses.

Limited production Merlot, barrel aged in French oak for 14 months. Intense plum and cherry aromas. Oak adds generous hints of chocolate and vanilla to this full-bodied wine with velvety tannins.

Had a couple of these. One when Grant, Julie, David and Annie were round for dinner at end of July 09.
