Community Tasting Notes (average 90 pts. and median of 90 pts. in 1 note)

Bright ruby-red. Currant, black cherry, licorice, pepper, fresh herbs and a mineral component on the nose. Muscular, slightly inky and penetrating, but not at all an outsized wine for Sociando in spite of its lurking power. Finishes youthfully tight, even a bit tough, with plenty of tongue-dusting tannins and a peppery element. This has put on weight since the last time I tasted it and may yet gain in sweetness with five or six years of bottle aging.
