International Wine CellarFull bright ruby. Moderately saturated medium-deep red. Brooding, inky aromas of black cherry and minerals. Offers decent texture on entry, then turns quite dry in the middle. A wine of modest ripeness, finishing with drying tannins and a green quality.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines60% Cabernet Sauvignon; 40% Merlot. A little more forward and easier to access than many of its more tannin-bound mates, this attractive bottling starts out with sweet, well-focused aromas of currants and cherries and follows with like-minded flavors that are buttressed by well-balanced tannins. Its long-term potential is a bit of a question, but it promises plenty of mid-term pleasure.
