Description
A big, thick, juicy, jammy blackberry-scented Napa Zin, including fruit from Charter Oak's estate vineyard. With well-integrated toasty, French oak, this wine gains complexity from the old vine Petite Sirah, which was hand- selected from the historic David Fulton Vineyard in St. Helena. For added muscle, Charter Oak tweaked the blend with 100-year-old Zinfandel from the famed Monte Rosso vineyard. Aged exclusively in French oak Burgundy barrels. Only 400 cases produced.

The owner’s grandfather had made wine and grappa and grown prunes on this estate in St. Helena when he was little. However it wasn’t until 1986 that current owner Robert Fanucci decided to return to the family business and learned how to make wine from his grandfather that same year.
