Drifting a bit too far in the direction of tobacco leaf, peat and a background note of herbs, this ripe, full-bodied effort starts out with a fleshy texture before firming up a bit in the latter going. Even with a touch of finishing solidity, the wine remains rather on the soft side and invites early to mid-term drinking instead of extended time in the cellar.
