Rating: OUTSTANDING Worth a search - As reviewed by Food & Wine - 2009 Wine Guide on 2009. This uncommonly deep and smoky Pinot Noir is made with grapes from a south-facing single-vineyard site. Very ripe and velvety, it's loaded with dark, black fruit flavors like currant and huckleberry, with a toasty edge lent by 10 to 18 months' aging in new oak. It's marvelous.

Sancerre Rouge La Moussiere Alphonse Mellot 2006. A Sancerre Red. Lovely ripe and fleshy Pinot character with complexity and great consistency of flavour throughout.
