2006 Achaval Ferrer Finca Mirador Malbec
Finca Mirador´s personality shines through the wine, vintage after vintage, with a recognizable and repeated signature. Fermentation took place in a small tank. At dryness, the wine was pressed and racked into French oak barrels, 100% new, where it was then aged for 15 months.
Wine.com#64 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2008 Stunning nose, with a high-toned violet note running through waves of warm blueberry, fig, boysenberry and raspberry compote. Intense palate is superracy, with superb underlying minerality driving the fruit through a long, seamless finish. Flaunts power without ever getting bombastic. A real stunner. Drink now through 2018. 818 cases made. Wine Spectator 95 Points November 2008
