While they were truly all fabulous, the Whitehall Lane was the clear winner from California.&nbsp; The rich nose of blackberry, cassis and toasty oak transferred beautifully onto the palate which was supported by elegant tannins and a rich mouthfeel. A beautiful wine and an absolute shame that only 6 cases remain!</p><p><strong>Accolades</strong></p><p><em>Wine Enthusiast</em>, <strong>94 Points</strong>; <em>Connoisseur&#39;s Guide</em> to California Wine, <strong>91 Points</strong>, December 2008; <em>The Wine News</em>, <strong>90 Points</strong>, October 2008</p><hr /><p><a href="http://www.facebook.com/winetastingcom"><img alt="Like Us on Facebook!" src="/assets/client/Image/Product Pages/Like_button_wine_landing.jpg" style="float: left; margin: 5px; width: 75px; height: 37px" /></a>For more <strong>pictures </strong>and to receive <strong>updates </strong>from the team, be sure to <a href="http://www.facebook.com/winetastingcom">&quot;like us&quot; on Facebook today</a>!</p>
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
Sweet and slightly chocolaty in character with a strong streak of vanilla matching its very deep, optimally ripened, black-cherry fruit step for step, this outgoing effort is at once fairly intense and quite easy to access, yet it is built for keeping and holds lots in reserve. It slowly gives ground to youthful, acid-accentuated tannins and winds up a tad on the coarse side, but it looks sure to shine if it is given the four or five years that any good, young Cabernet needs and deserves.
