2005 Viader Dare Cab Franc The DARE Cabernet Franc comes from their hillside estate vineyards blended with fruit sourced from Jan Krupps Stagecoach Vineyards in Oakville As they intend this wine to drink earlier than the VIADER, the wine is aged on primary lees for 6 months before being racked and blended to impart mid-palate weight and texture. The lifted aromatics exhibit red plums, raspberry and bing cherry supported by secondary notes of east Indian spice and cardamom.The wine shows a plush entry that leads to a well-defined mid-palate and a long, silky finish. Wine.comThe robe is a beautiful cherry red and the nose tempts you with aromas of redberries, plums, oak and sweet spices. After a few minutes of opening, darker fruits,smoke and peppery notes develop in the glass. On the palate the wine showsenticing flavors of ripe black cherries and strawberries supported by velvetytannins. Fully integrated oak flavors and a well-defined mid-palate. Hints oftobacco, vanilla and caramel carry the finish.
