Led in the nose by a good measure of oak-enriched, cherry-like fruit, this nicely focused effort is at once both optimally ripened and fairy light on its feet. It is rounded at entry and firmed by a touch of well-placed latter-palate acidity, and its engaging fruit persists at the finish. While there is a bit of last-minute coarse-ness at the moment, another year in bottle is all that this one needs to reach its best.
