Saturated ruby. Dark berry liqueur, cocoa powder, tobacco and vanillin oak spices on the nose, plus a subtle graphite undertone. Broad and fleshy, offering sweet and spicy blackberry, cassis and candied licorice flavors, and picking up a cherry-cola quality with air. Becomes brighter and more tannic with air, with the tannins adding shape and structure to the sweet, oak-accented fruit. Very sexy wine, with impressive energy for its size.
