The 2006 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva is a fabulous wine for the money. This isn’t the most complex Cannonau readers will come across, but it nevertheless impresses for its persistence, purity of fruit and wonderful balance. Dried cherries, crushed flowers and spices linger on the ethereal finish. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2013.

Pretty good for the price. A bit of an after taste of alcohol and a little dry, but not excessively. There is a good taste there though. Not as good as some I've had at matts house in Durham. Drank two glasses while cooking chicken and pasta in Florence 9/15/09.
