Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines7% Petite Sirah. Sweet and close to confected in smell with a strong sense of blackberry jam running its length, this thick and slightly syrupy Zin is pulled back from the brink of being too soft and overly viscous by a rush of last-minute tannin. While entirely drinkable in the near term, it is not yet especially well knit, and a few couple of years in cellar could help bring its contrasting pieces together.

Fellow Drync'rthe nose is nice, the alcohol is high, blackberry. Nothing at all is 'wrong' with the nose, but it doesn't beg to be tasted. But delicious is an understatement, the wine starts with fireworks on the tounge, it awakens the sides and back of the tounge. the raspberry jam is yummy, it's complex, fun, artistic and adventurous. the tannins are not overpowering but present, the finish is so gentle and luxurious
