Rosenblum's fascination with high ripeness is once again clear here, yet the wine is held back from the brink of uncontrolled late-harvest excess and is instead rich in very deep and well-defined blackberry fruit with plentiful oak spice sweetening the mix. It is full and fleshy in the mouth, and its ample back-palate tannins provide a firming assist that makes it easy to predict that it will grow into its best only after a few years have past.
