WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Through the years, Ravenswood has had the good fortune of working with amazing vineyards. But among the many are a few that stand high above the rest for the one-of-a-kind character they display. They're so special, you wouldn't dare blend them. And just like the people that own and farm them, they have their own distinct personalities, moods and auras.
Flavors of blackberries, raspberries, allspice, and vanilla. Varietals depend on year but generally close to 100% Zinfandel.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesMarkedly tougher and more tannic than the rest of its clan, this brooding youngster still manages to convey a fine sense of fruit and richness. Its compelling themes of ripe berries and spice are interrupted by abrasive astringency by mid-palate, but we like its extract, its depth and its impressions of central substance and will gladly wait for the five to eight years that it demands before coming into its own.
