|Vineyard:||Quilceda Creek Vintners|
A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9%, Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. The 2005 Columbia Valley Red Wine is an excellent Bordeaux blend (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 7% Merlot) representative of our declassification program which began with the 1997 vintage. This wine reflects the richness and complexity of the vintage and ranks as one of our favorite Red Wine offerings to date. Aged in predominantly new French oak for 22 months, this medium bodied wine displays black cherry fruit, a...
International Wine CellarSaturated deep ruby. Brooding, backward nose hints at deep black plum, cassis, graphite and nutty, spicy oak. Fat, sweet and superconcentrated, with an almost citric suggestion of acidity and chewy dry extract contributing to the impression of structure. Wonderfully bright for such a ripe wine, and explosively long on the aftertaste. Along with its considerably power, this promises to deliver great class in an almost Medoc-like way.
