WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Saturated ruby color with a nuance of vermillon, 2005 Les Pavots
reveals an deep bouquet of black cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry
and blackberry, with nuances of cedar, cacao, cigar box, black tea,
graphite, a stylish 'guarigue' touch, forest floor, sweet vanilla and
cloves. Extremely full-bodied, this wine offers the same rich, ripe
fruit impressions on the palate. The mouth feel is full and round,

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine CellarGood deep ruby-red. Deep aromas of currant, raspberry, plum, tobacco, mocha and graphite. Sweet, lush and fat , with the rich, spicy red fruit flavors complicated by leather, mocha, licorice and cedar. The substantial tannins are smooth and harmonious and arrive late, allowing the subtle finishing flavors of cigar box, mocha and wild dry spices to expand in the mouth. This is 15.1% alcohol but boasts lovely physiological ripeness without any excess weight.
