WINEMAKER'S NOTE
Bright red fruit and silky tannins mark this excellent effort from Leoville Poyferre. Medium to full bodied, with round fruit and terrific balance.

Origin Since 2004 Pavillon de Poyferré has been regarded as the second wine of Château Léoville-Poyferré. It uses wine from vats that are felt to be of insufficient quality for either Léoville-Poyferré or Moulin Riche. It then sees 18-20 months in 1-2 year old barrels. Taste With an expressive nose of creme de cassis and spring flowers, there is a juicy texture and balance only found in top vintages. Has all the polish of the Grand Vin but does not require the patience. Enjoy Classic St-Julien elegance which will drink beautifully over the next 6-8 years.
