15% Merlot. From its nicely composed, ripe-currant and sweet-oak aromas to its supple, but mildly tannin-firmed feel and its rich, well-fruited flavors, this very solid working hits all the right varietal marks and does so without intrusive tannins or heat. It will benefit from a few years of age, but it can be enjoyed early on with hearty hunks of beef.
