Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesClean and a bit on the mild side relative to the higher priced com petition on the Merlot shelves, this likeable wine offers up a nice bit of cherryish fruit and lightly caramelly richness in its nose and flavors. If not the biggest kid on the block, it is nonetheless one of those with good manners, and it has enough fruit at its heart to be a very reliable and useful mate to light red meats. GOOD VALUE
