One of our favorite blends is a big juicy Syrah and a robust Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2005 Matchbook Syrah is 89% Syrah and 11% Cabernet. Raspberry, spice, tabacco, cassis and a touch of vanilla from the oak barrels. Vineyard Notes: 85% Dunnigan Hills Syrah from the Matchbook Vineyard, 4% Russian River Valley Syrah, 11% Chalk HIll Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasted at J Alexanders before movie. 89% syrah. Very smooth. Excellent nose, smell vanilla more than tasting it. Very great choice by Scritts. Would definitly compare value with Hess. Great among all types of food. We had it with smoked salmon appetizers. Would be a great wine to have snacks with.
