Expressively varietal in its first aromas but somewhat limited in compelling fruit, this wine smells of black pepper and dried berries with a dusting of fresh herbs. It is on the medium-full-bodied, well-balanced side in palatefeel, and that factor alone could have lifted it higher had its inner fruit turned out to be more convincing.
