Full ruby-red. Wild aromas of black raspberry, truffle, game, chocolate, roasted meat, tar and sexy oak. Lush and smooth but not overly sweet, with rich black raspberry and iron flavors showing a positive rusticity. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. I like the French funk here.
