Beautiful blackberry, cherry and light vanilla aromas follow through to a full body, with coffee, smoke and berry character. Long and stylish. Velvety and balanced. Best after 2013. -Wine Spectator Readers looking for a tasty, delicious St.-Emilion that can be enjoyed at a young age should check out this value pick. This dense purple-hued, intense fruit bomb exhibits flamboyant notes of smoke, black raspberries, cherries, and graphite. A big, deep, full-bodied wine with tremendous opulence as well as tannin and structure in the background, it should be drinkable in 2-3 years, and last for 15 or more. It is a sleeper of the vintage. -Wine Advocate 90-92

Rating: 3/5 - As reviewed by Decanter. Plenty of dark, ripe fruit with a toasted oak overlay. Rich and full on the palate with a spicy Syrah-like nuance. Oak rather heavy but if it settles in could be a 4 star wine. Ready 2008-2010. (tasted en primeur)
