2005 Chateau La Tour Blanche Sauternes Half Bottle
|Vineyard:||Chateau La Tour Blanche|
Using the three traditional Sauternes grape varieties Sémillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle this wine is the result of a severe selection. So as to optimise the beneficial effects of Noble Rot ("La Pourriture Noble"), harvesting is carried out in a series of selective pickings which often necessitates the grape-pickers going through the rows up to 4 or 6 times. <P>Each vintage is vinified and aged in French-oak barrels, which are entirely renewed every harvest, for 16 to 18 months.
