2005 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection
Expert Reviews

Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesAs rich and as flamboyantly oaky as one would expect from a Caymus Special Selection, this heavy and highly ripened wine comes across as a touch overdone and is governed by chocolaty ripeness more than it is by clearly defined fruit. It toughens up at the end with both heat and a stern bit of acid-pushed tannin taking charge, and where it winds up after five years of age is a question that only time will answer.
