Ruby-red. Deep, sweet nose dominated by blackberry. Lush and round, the dark berry flavors nicely complemented by subtle acidity and gentle tannins. Impressively concentrated, focused and juicy, the fruit taking on a liqueur-like boysenberry quality on the back. There's excellent depth and power underneath the sexy fruit here. The taut, focused character of these wines is very typical of the region, but the pricing is unusually friendly.
