WINEMAKER'S NOTE
The 2004 Reserva was sourced entirely from estate fruit. It is composed of 90%Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon which spent 18 months in French oak andwas bottled unfiltered. Purple-colored, it has an uplifting perfume of paingrille, scorched earth, violets, cinnamon, and blackberry liqueur. This leadsto a medium-bodied, dense, super-concentrated, spicy wine with layers offlavor. It nicely conceals enough tannin to permit 4-6 years of furtherevolution in the bottle and should provide pleasure read more...The 2004 Reserva was sourced entirely from estate fruit. Wine Gang review: From the clay and limestone soils of the high plateau of Pedrosa in the Ribera del Duero, this aromatic Tinto Fino-based (aka Tempranillo) red with a splodge of Cabernet Sauvignon, is richly concentrated in mulberry and black cherry fruit aromas and flavours and framed by a veneer of stylish, spicy new oak and bright damsony acidity. A good five years life ahead of it. ( The Wine Gang - A review of a further 20 wines from the press tasting - Aug 09)
